Silverton jigsaws are made in the tradition of the classic British wooden jigsaw puzzle, and in limited numbers due to the large handmade element in their production. These puzzles are far more challenging and satisfying to handle than their cardboard counterparts.

         
Irregular pieces and whimsies
Our puzzles have different hand drawn cut patterns and contain a number of charming character whimsies that relate to the image.

Each puzzle piece is a different shape and included are trick corners and straight pieces in the middle.
Somewhere in every design is Silverton's signature piece, which reflects the pride and attention to detail we take in the crafting of our jigsaws.
 
 
Artwork

Our puzzles feature the work of selected contemporary artists, some licensed for exclusive use by Silverton Puzzle Company. We also feature famous fine art and topics of special interest. We choose images for their vibrancy and character, and carefully colour match to the original art.

High quality materials and craftsmanship

Silverton wooden jigsaws are carefully crafted from high quality 4mm wood certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council as taken from sustainable sources. Our unique cutting method results in an exceptionally fine cut with close fitting pieces. The wood is hand finished and sealed to preserve and enhance the feel and appearance.

Wooden jigsaw puzzles which were cut in the 1920s 30s and 40s are still being used today. Made from long lasting materials, we like to think our jigsaws will be enjoyed for many decades.
The puzzles are contained in a drawstring cotton bag printed on one side with the Silverton Puzzle Company logo, and packaged in a sturdy presentation box. Once assembled the jigsaws can be mounted and framed to make an attractive wall display.
